Michelle Thao is an aspiring actress from the hometown of Stockton, California. She currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her mother and two younger brothers. Thao has taken drama and theatrical classes during her middle and high school years which lead her to an internship at the Colleen O. Williams Theater. At the age of fourteen, Thao auditioned for a Model & Talent Search and was ready to sign the contract, however, Thao withdrew. Thao did not give up on her interest - by the age of sixteen, alongside with comprehensive school, Thao was under her mother agent John Casablancas Model & Talent Career Center where she completed her private acting and modeling classes.
Thao has done numerous modeling work and a few acting work. Thao made her first appearance in the Colleen O. Williams Theater commercial on Channel 24. Thao had also partnered up with H.O.T. Entertainment in 2009 to promote their party. The Love Movement featured Thao at one of their latest party events as Miss Hmong GA. Unbeknown to Thao, she worked as a model/actress for a couple music videos for Tim Blair aka "Tim Dog" in 2011 but due to Blair's dilemma, the music videos were never aired. Thao's latest work was a jury orientation video that she collaborated with Chief Judge Blum, Judge Powell, and many of her coworkers whereas, she played a plaintiff attorney.
During Junior high, Thao ran for Miss Red & Black but did not place. Thao was crowned as Georgia's first Miss Hmong Georgia 2015. With Thao's title and honor, she will be a role model and an advocate for her community. Since then, Thao has been actively involved in community work consisting of charities/fundraisers, meetings, and events. Thao also became a board member of a non-profit organization, Hmong Women Resource Alliance.
During Thao's childhood, she enjoyed going on adventures with her father, play days at the park with her siblings, and Friday family movie nights. Thao started traditional Thai/Laos dancing at the age of 10 and formed a dance team called Eclipse. Because Thao was the youngest of all, she remained in dancing while the rest of the dance team retired. Since 2001, Thao has been performing Hmong/Miao, Thai/Laos, and Kpop dances during the Hmong New Year celebration each year. Thao is currently a dancer of Atlanta Chinese Dance Company where she learns and dances to traditional Chinese dance consisting of ballet and dances from minorities of China.
Due to Thao's family separation prior to her high school graduation, Thao decided to take a break from the entertainment industry and focus on school and a salary pay job because the film entertainment industry could not guarantee her a steady income. Thao has tried multiple times getting back to the industry but was never successful. Now, Thao is on full force and ready to take action in the film and entertainment industry.
