Stay tuned for further updates.
photos will be posted shortly
While making an appearance at Hmong Southeast Phuav Pheej's New Year Celebration in North Carolina as Miss Hmong Georgia and board member of Hmong Women Resource Alliance, I had the opportunity to interview and take a photo with the beautiful Miao (Hmong) singer, Miss Mee Yang, from Wenshan Yunnan, China. She is only a year older than me, surprised right? I also purchased Mee Yang's first album produced in America and I love all her songs in that album.
Wow, I can't believe it has been almost a year. Meeting back to back. I was able to snap a few photos for this meeting so I decided why not post? Not a successful meeting to me but then I am glad to know there are still people out there who are willing to improve our community. Again, like always, I was the only female and the youngest. I also got myself a Hmong Georgia Organization shirt.
Many people have been asking me what will I be doing with the money that I won and what does a Miss Hmong do with the money? Well guys, I am sure most Miss Hmongs just doesn't take the money and end it there. We invest in the money that we received from our reign to make fundraisers to help the community and charities.
Received a beautiful bouquet of roses from a lovely couple who has watched me grew up to become the woman I am today. Thank you so much for all your love and support. Receiving your bouquet made me feel special for once again. No lies, I have not received flowers from someone for many years now.
The Miss Hmong Georgia's mission is to build experience, develop and succeed in leadership role. She will support her people and the community along with gaining continuous knowledge about her culture, language, and traditions. The elected Miss Hmong Georgia will be a recognized leader and an active advocate for the Hmong Georgia Community. She will be required to attend events and functions on behalf of the Hmong Georgia Community.
