*This blog will be a little different from the others. I will constantly be updating this blog as I progress.
I have been planing this for a few years now leading me to sleepless nights, stress, breakouts, excitements and disappointments together all at the same time. However, this very moment is surreal.
It is OFFICIAL that I will be going to Thailand! The reason why it took many years to finally book my flight was because of income and time. I was and still a student so of course, college is money out of your own pocket. I can't afford to take days off school to fail. On the other hand, vacation time off is not always easily granted from work. There were many times where my vacation request had been denied. When I feel like the timing is right, something always changes within my department to prevent me from going too.
Vacationing out of country is expensive. To have a well worth vacation overseas requires lots of time. I would say a minimum of a good two weeks. Sadly, where I work, I have a lot of responsibilities that I will only be vacationing in Thailand for a week and a half but with the quickest flight.
"Going overseas isn't something so exciting about" is what I would get from people that I mention my plans to. Well, it's NOT just a vacation.
My BIG GIRL vacation on my CHECK LIST is to have a personal vacation (only myself) overseas of my choice. Therefore, I chose Thailand. I will be going alone through no agency. I want to experience "life" in Thailand like a citizen. I have places to visit and things to do in mind but not planned. I will land there and go from there. I will not be following an itinerary. I will explore on my own with the knowledge that I have. I am familiar with the culture. I am 65% fluent in Thai however, I can comprehend and understand very well.
My second vacation to Thailand, I definitely will be staying much longer and really tour like I am an "American tourist" along with taking my mother. China, will be my second destination. I won't be talking too much about my vacation right now so make sure to follow me (and this blog) for updates.
I am not sponsored by anyone or any company. All travelings were through my own personal expenses.
