OH MY!!! What can I say. Flora Flora was beautiful! Maybe only the weekend we went. My sister and brother-in-law were moving to Minnesota and so I wanted to take them to the real beach down "south" for their first time. I wanted it to be special and for them to remember good memories in good places and so I decided to take them to Destin, Florida since it is close by and I heard that it is pretty nice. It was a last minute plan so we wouldn't spend much time there. My brother-in-law decided not to go because they have Zeus (their german shepherd) so he stayed home and watched him. I really wanted him to go to but he just couldn't. Even when sleeping in a pet friendly hotel, it still wouldn't be convenient either. Destin didn't have any pet boarding close by nor would it be worth it for only a rushy weekend.
I woke up one morning and had this feeling of wanting some fresh air and getting toxins out of my system. I decided hiking in the mountains would be best. I also love waterfalls too. After a good thirty minutes of research, I have decided to go hiking at Amicola Falls and the Appalachian Trial.
Generally speaking, you have to go to the beach at least once a year. August of 2013, I decided to take my two younger brothers along with my mother, whom was in town visiting us to the beach for their first time ever. I love this beach. The water was clear with white sand. It is a calm family oriented beach. On Sundays, people come out to play music with unique instruments at the shore. Due to work, we could only stay there for three days but those three days were not wasted at all. The drive to there from Atlanta was a pain. It took us eight hours to get there. I recommend this beach for those who are seeking for a relaxing vacation whether it is by themselves or with families. Siesta Key Beach is an island; we had to cross over a body of water to get there. Because where we were is literally in the middle of huge body waters, it starting raining as the sun was setting. Around our resorts and a few blocks down to town, it was flooded. Everybody was required to drive with caution. The morning after, the flood was gone and the sun was out doing its justice. Siesta Key Beach is in Sarasota, which as many attractions stores to shop at. North Sarasota is where the nightlife is.
I was given the opportunity to go to Orlando in April 2009, staying in Buena Vista Resort in Downtown Disney. Downtown Orlando was my first stop. From there, my entire time was spent at Disney. It's a place where dreams come true. Regardless how young or old you are, you will have a wonderful time here. I also had dinner at an authentic Thai Restaurant, Thai Thani. The service was welcoming. The food was delicious and authentic. I don't recall waiting at all although it was really busy and packed. The night before coming back, I went the night cruising around Universal Studios City Walk. This place is also amazing. There were so many people. The atmosphere was perfect. I did not want to come back home at all. Definitely will have to revisit. Disney can be highly expensive but it's definitely a once in a lifetime place that I recommend everyone to pay a visit to.
I am not sponsored by anyone or any company. All travelings were through my own personal expenses.
